Trumpets

What we did
  • Mouthpiece buzzing
    • Establishing a good embouchure with proper air support
  • Proper posture and hand position
  • Still working to get good tone quality with the proper pitch center

What to do
  • Work to achieve E with a good tone quality
    • Faster air needs to be used
    • work to keep an open embouchure as opposed to pinching
      • Correct pitches/fingerings
      • Establish consistent steady tempo
      • Start each note with a "Ha-Too" articulation
      • Begin to establish proper tone quality
      • Establish consistent proper posture
Looking Ahead
  • Establishing good tone quality on E, D, C
  • Playing each note for sequences of whole note/whole rest (page 6: lines 1,2 and 4 in method book)
